How does Pola Light Work?
Pola Light works in the same way that traditional home teeth whitening works, that is, by the action of Pola Day (a Hydrogen Peroxide based gel) reacting with the teeth to lift tooth stains ultimately lightening the colour of your teeth. Poladay gel contains a unique blend of soothers, conditioners and high-water content which helps reduce sensitivity. Pola’s formula also assists in strengthening and remineralisation the teeth whilst actively whitening.
A bead of Pola Day is placed into top and bottom of the Pola Light LED Mouthpiece, placed in the mouth and worn for two 10-15 minute sessions each day for five days. This means no additional trays need to be purchased, saving you time and results are generally achieved within 5 days.
The red and blue LED light helps to speed up the whitening process and has the two timer options 10 or 15 minutes. The LED light piece is rechargeable with the included USB-C cord. The Pola Light LED Mouthpiece is light, very portable and has no cord attached – meaning it is completely cordless during use.
Pola Light is available in two formats: Poladay 6% and Poladay 9.5% with the Poladay 6% option containing a Bonus Pola Luminate Teeth Whitening Pen for touch ups on the go (doesn’t require the use of the Pola Light). It is recommended to start with Poladay 6% and once you become comfortable using the product and your teeth are not too sensitive, consider increasing your gel strength to Poladay 9.5% – the wear time for both gel’s is dictated by the timer options on the light device, that’s 10 or 15 minutes whether you use Poladay 6% or Poladay 9.5% Gel.

Although each 3gram should last about six full upper and lower teeth whitening treatments with the Pola LED Light Piece, from our experience we find most users often require more gel than this to fill the tray from molar to molar for both top and bottom teeth.
Pola Light is designed to be reused repeatedly, meaning, once you have used the initial gel included in your kit, you simply need to repurchase Poladay 6% or Poladay 9.5% refills for use with the light. This makes regular tops ups simple and relatively cost effective.
Does Pola Light provide good whitening results?

It is important to note that the best results ultimately come down to how well your teeth react to the Poladay Gel, the correct application of gel into the mouthpiece, following the recommended whitening protocol i.e., number of treatments and other dietary or lifestyle factors. Although Pola Light has been designed with comfort and usability in mind, Pola Light is not a customised tray meaning it is a one size fits all, as results, some users may find the tray too large or too small.

How to Use Pola Light Teeth Whitening?
Pola Light is easy and simple to use and can be used with either Poladay 6% or Poladay 9.5% Gel.
Clean your teeth and rinse your Pola LED mouthpiece before use.
Attach the syringe tip provided to the syringe. Apply a small line of PolaDay gel evenly along the inner front of the top and bottom of your Pola LED mouthpiece.
Fit the Pola LED mouthpiece to your mouth and bite down, follow Activating Light Instructions.
After reaching your treatment duration, remove the mouthpiece and wipe away any excess gel/saliva with a dry tissue. Rinse the mouthpiece and wash it with lukewarm water. Do not submerge it in water.
Rinse mouth or brush teeth once the whitening session is complete.
